Getting started
What is ClipDeck?
A free website that shows the best Twitch clips from the streamers you choose, all in one place. You can sort them, favorite them and hide the ones you've seen. ClipDeck isn't made by or affiliated with Twitch.
How do I sign up?
On the start page, choose Sign in or sign up and approve ClipDeck on Twitch. Then add ClipDeck to an authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code it shows. Then pick a few streamers (or search for any), and their clips appear.
What can ClipDeck do with my Twitch account?
Nothing beyond signing you in. ClipDeck asks Twitch for no permissions at all: it only sees your public profile (name and picture). It can't see who you follow, chat, post, follow anyone, see your messages or change anything, and it hands its access back to Twitch right after you sign in.
Signing in and security
Why do I need an authenticator app?
Every sign-in takes your Twitch account plus a code from your authenticator app, so someone who gets into your Twitch account still can't get into ClipDeck. Any free app works: Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, or the one in your password manager.
What are recovery codes?
When you set up your authenticator app, ClipDeck shows you 10 recovery codes. Each one works once, instead of a code from your app. Keep them somewhere safe, like your password manager or on paper. For new ones, open Settings → Security → Authenticator & recovery codes → Get new recovery codes. The old ones stop working.
I lost my phone or got a new one
- Sign in with Twitch as usual. When asked for a code, choose Lost your phone? Use a recovery code and enter one of your recovery codes.
- Open Settings → Security → Authenticator & recovery codes → Move to a new authenticator app, scan the QR code with your new phone and enter the code it shows. Your old phone stops working for ClipDeck.
I lost my phone and my recovery codes
Email from any address. We'll ask you to prove that the Twitch account is yours, for example by sending us a message from it on Twitch. Then we reset your authenticator, and your next sign-in walks you through setting up a new one. Your streamers, favorites and hidden clips stay as they are.
How long do I stay signed in?
With Keep me signed in on (in Settings → Signing in), for 30 days, renewed while you use ClipDeck. With it off, until you close your browser, after 2 hours without activity, or after 12 hours at most.
How do I sign out everywhere else?
Open Settings → Security → Authenticator & recovery codes → Sign out of all other devices. You stay signed in on the device you're using.
Using ClipDeck
How do I add or remove streamers?
Type a name into Add streamer… at the top of the streamer list, or use Discover: pick popular streamers, or search for a streamer, a game or a category (like Just Chatting or Minecraft) to see who's live in it. To remove a streamer, choose the × next to them. Tick or untick streamers to choose whose clips you see.
How do I show or hide the streamer list?
Use the panel button at the top left. On a big screen it hides the list to give the clips more room, and brings it back; ClipDeck remembers your choice on that device. On a phone it opens the list over the page.
Why can't I find a clip?
- Check the filters above the clips: the date range, how many clips per streamer are shown, and whether the streamer is ticked.
- You may have hidden it. Hidden clips are listed under Hidden clips in your profile menu (your picture at the top right), where you can restore them.
- Clips deleted on Twitch disappear from ClipDeck too, including from your favorites.
Are my streamers and favorites saved?
Yes. Your streamers, favorites, hidden clips and filters are saved to your account, so they're the same on every device you sign in on. Favorites and hidden clips are shown 100 per page, most recently saved first, so they stay quick however many you collect.
Your data and account
What does ClipDeck store about me?
Your Twitch ID, username, display name and profile picture; the Twitch IDs of your saved streamers, favorites and hidden clips; your settings; and your authenticator and recovery codes, stored only in encrypted or scrambled form. It never stores your Twitch password. The Privacy Policy has the details.
How do I download my data?
Open Settings → Your data → Download my data. You get a file with everything ClipDeck stores about you, except secrets like your authenticator and recovery codes.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → Danger zone → Delete account and confirm with a code from your authenticator app. Everything ClipDeck stores about you is deleted right away (copies in our encrypted backups expire within 30 days), and you're signed out everywhere. Your Twitch account isn't affected. To also remove ClipDeck from Twitch's list of connected apps, visit twitch.tv/settings/connections (opens in a new tab).
Is ClipDeck free?
Yes. There are no ads, no paid plans, and your data is never sold.
Still need help?
Email and describe what happened. Please never send passwords, recovery codes or codes from your authenticator app: we'll never ask for them.
